Bible Mystery - Was Job the First Man?

The Book of Job is highly scientific and loaded with mysteries and clues. The Book of Job is some 1000 or more more older than the Book of Genesis. At the opening of Job's story it says that He was the greatest man in all the East (East-eternity). There are questions in Job and mind-boggling prophecies. The verse from the title is shown below.

Job 15,7

Art thou the class first man that was born? or wast thou made before the hills?

After many hours of studying scriptures with the assist of Bible software I am convinced that there is a lot more to this book than a religious doctrine. Job predates Judaism and many other religions. Interestingly, the LORD, the Almighty and numerous Gods (all from One) are also in the Book of Job. Yet the verses in Job promote no specific religious doctrine.

What Makes the New American Catholic Bible Different From a Standard Bible?

There are several differences in the New American Bible Catholic Version and standard Christian Bibles. Some of the difference are very basic like the books that are included. The Catholic Bible contains additional books that the Church believed were worthy of inclusion. Here are a few of the other differences.

  • The New American Bible Catholic Version is approved by the Catholic Church.
  • The New American adheres more closely to the original Old Testament in terms of verse numbers. This is especially true in the Book of Psalms.
  • The New American Bible has a forward that provides additional insight for interpretation and authorship of various writings.

Is one Bible superior to another? We won't try to answer that because there are over 1000 different translations of the Bible. Does anyone have it exactly right? I guess if they did there would not be 1000 or more versions.

1 Corninthians 13 - Love Never Fails...

Some of you may be familiar with this beautiful verse from the New Testament. The number of profound messages in this verse are manifold. 1 Corinthians 13 is a verse used at many weddings and may be the greatest love verse in the Bible. It puts so many of today's religious teachings into context. The 1 COR 13 text shown below is from the King James Version Bible. The word 'charity' is used here.
