Lord God Almighty

There are many mysteries contained in the Bible. Maybe that is why the last book of the Bible is named "Revelation", because that is the only way to comprehend it... One such mystery is the name "Lord God Almighty". It appears 15 times and they are all in the Book of Revelation. Studying all the words in the Bible won't provide the answer - revelation will.

The name "God Almighty" and "Almighty God" appear many times in the Old Testament but the name Lord God Almighty appears only at the end of Bible. Is that when God becomes One, or "All in ALL"? Something to contemplate.

The name "Almighty" is used frequently in many religious circles but it appears less than 50 times in the Bible and over 30 of those times are in the Book of Job which is the oldest book of the Bible. According to scholars the book of Job predates the Book of Genesis by 1000 to 2000 years.

I find it very interesting with all the times that the name Lord, LORD, God, GOD, Lord God, and Almighty God appear in the Bible that only in Revelation is the Lord God Almighty. One other unique name that appears only once in the Bible is "Lord God omnipotent". This title is very similar to Lord God Almighty as the omnipotent and almighty have very close to the same meaning.

Another mystery is that the name Lord God omnipotent appears in Revelation 19. There are many scholars and scientists who believe that the number 19 is Alpha Omega. One is Alpha - Nine is Omega. As if we needed more mysteries the only place in the Bible that the Alpha Omega appears is also in Book of Revelation.
