Bible Mysteries - Treasures From the Old and New Brought To Light!

According to the Old Testament the priest was instructed to write all of these curses into a book (Numbers 5,23). It also says that He will wipe them out with bitter water (doesn't sound like much fun). Interestingly enough, the foundation of the New Testament is the Gospels (Gospel means good spell, or God's spell-because God is Good). I don't know about you, but I find it quite intriguing that there was a book that the priest was to write and put all the curses in. What book was it? Then the New Testament is called things like the Gospel of God, Gospel of Christ and Gospel of the Kingdom.

After thousands of hours of studying scripture verses and individual words from the Bible I am convinced that the book is a total mystery. Even with the modern software programs it's difficult to understand some of the purposes. The Bible is much deeper and more scientific than anything you can imagine. For the literalists to think that the Most High God is bound by the writings of men and words that have been translated over multiple languages (none to well I might add) is ridiculous. If the Bible is the literal and incontrovertible word of God why are there thousands of translations of the same book? Wouldn't there be just one?

My words aren't meant to shake anyone's belief in God; they are meant to encourage people to have faith in GOD! Look at the universe; the stars, the plant life, the birds and the animals and ask yourself if the CREATOR of everything that is and ever will be can be contained in a book, any book. There are scriptures that spoke of GOD, Lord of the Universe and the Almighty long before the first word of the Bible was ever written. The Book of Job (the most scientific of all the Bible books) was written well over a thousand years before the Book of Genesis.

If studying the Bible motivates and inspires you to love people and want to do good for everyone then God is working in your heart. If the Bible causes you to be narrow-minded, judgmental and legalistic its not from God. Personally, I think that it would be far more constructive if people met together to discuss ways to make the world a better place for everyone, and then worked together to accomplish it. Can you imagine what the world could be like if the nations did that?

The Bible is deeper than anyone can fathom (it says that too...unfathomable!). There are verses in the Bible that utterly condemn and speak abominable prophecies. If you look up some of these verses you'll find that the words literally aren't there. There are actually two words in a 15 word verse and it's the same word repeated twice. The word that appears twice has nothing at all to do with the verse... So, how did it get there?

Did God use the Bible to send messages thousands of years in advance knowing full well that the Bible would become the most controversial and studied book every published? Did God know that someday there would be computer programs to let people see just how deep the book really is? Is God opening up revelation as to some of the mysteries and treasures that have been hidden away in the darkness for thousands of years?

To some this may sound stupid, irreverent or irreligious... to me its utter genius! Who could pull off such a thing? Only ONE, GOD! Author: aph
