Bible Mysteries - Just Who is Job?
January 13, 2010 0 CommentsThere are many today who read the Bible and take every word very
literally; to you I would say that before you arrive at some
conclusion as to what the words mean or why they are there take the
time to see the word translations from Hebrew, Aramaic, and the
numerous other languages the Bible was translated from. It is a
real eye opener. You may not comprehend the exact message, words or
verse being delivered but you will know with certainty that what
you are reading does not match what was put on the page of the
book. That is why there are so many different translations of the
bible. Am I trying to discourage you from reading the Bible? No,
but I am trying to relate that the Bible is a mystery.
The Book of Job is the oldest book of the Bible. Some estimates say
a thousand years prior to the writing of Genesis, others
estimates say as many as two thousand years before the Book of
Genesis. The Book of Job is a masterpiece with an all
star cast. Many of the God's who are in the Old
Testament are in the Book of Job; The "Almighty"
appears in Bible scriptures less than 50 times in both the Old and
New Testaments combined - over 30 times are in the Book of
Job.
In Job, every question, every word, every animal, every type of gem
means something so deep and so scientific that without revelation
from God you could miss the meaning, the message and the revelation
completely. There are people in the Book of Job who's names link to
atomic numbers... I'm sure that 3500 years ago Job and his buddies
spent a lot of time discussing that subject! Was Job really a man
that lived 4000 years ago who suffered incomprehensible injustice?
Maybe... Is Job really a book of latter day prophecy that is being
fulfilled before your eyes? Probably!
There are questions that were asked of Job by his friends and by
the Lord that may shed light on Job's identity. In the
beginning of the Book of Job it states that Job was - is the
greatest man in all the East. Spiritually speaking the East
is eternity. His friends and LORD asked Job "were
you the first man ever born?", The LORD asked if Job was
standing there the day they created the world?
It's open to interpretation, some would say that this is an
accusation of Job. But, seeing as though at the beginning of the
book it is clearly stated that He was and is the greatest man
in all the East and the Lord called Him perfect and
upright I tend to believe the Book was revealing to Job his
own identity. They asked Job "Job, do you have an arm like
God?" Tell me Bible scholars, do you know what
God's arm looks like? I'll bet Job does!
Job 19 mentions that He know that his redeemer lives and at
last I shall see Him stand on the Earth. Then Job goes on to
say that I myself shall see Him with my own
eyes! Unless He has already come and gone I think
this makes a pretty good case for Job being a latter day
prophecy. Job also mentions certain things that would
happen and then says and in my own flesh I shall see
God. Now, I have my own opinion as to what Job is talking
about and I will allow you the freedom to ponder it and arrive at
whatever revelation God passes on to you.
Job is truly an amazing book! If you are troubled about the mention
of all the different Gods and Lords in the Bible don't be. They are
all in there; male, female and plural. The Bible is a
mystery that is being revealed today. To those with an
open mind and an open heart God is revealing the truth and
the truth that will set you
free.
